Trainees- Paid academy tuition and expenses, plus $22.32/hour ($49,327.20 annually) **Note this will likely change every 10/1 with the matrix update**

Certified Deputy Patrol with less than 4 years’ experience $25.69/hour ($56,774.90 annually) **Note this will likely change every 10/1 with the matrix update**

Certified Deputy Patrol with 4 or more years of relevant/creditable certified experience within 8 years of date of hire. $27.61/hour ($61,018.10 annually)  **Note this will likely change every 10/1 with the matrix update**

Shift differential for eligible shifts additionally $0.25 -$0.45/hour

Salary Incentive for Associate’s Degree $30 a month/Bachelor’s Degree $80 a month

Members are granted 10 paid holidays a year

Members earn 3.93 hours of vacation per pay period for the first 4 years (102.18 hour annually)

  • 4.90 hours  per pay period for 5th year (127.40 hours annually)
  • 5.23 hours per pay period for 6th year (135.98 hour annually)
  • 5.56 hours per pay period for 7th year (144.56 hour annually)
  • 5.88 hours per pay period for 8th year (158.88 hour annually)
  • 6.21 hours per pay period for 9th year  (161.46 hour annually)
  • 6.54 hours per pay period for 10th year (170.04 hour annually)
  • 6.86 hours per pay period for 11th year through separation (178.36 hour annually)

**Eligible to accrue a maximum of 600 hours of vacation leave**

Members earn 3.93 hours of sick leave per pay period (102.18 annually)

**Eligible to accrue a maximum of 640 hours of sick leave**

Health insurance is 100 percent paid for employees for select plan.

Wellness Clinic and Surgery Center at no cost to members who participate in agency health insurance.

All uniforms and equipment are provided for applicable positions.

Members participate in Florida Retirement System and have a 3% contribution to the retirement system.

Members are vested after 8 years of service and eligible to retire once they reach 25 years of service or 55 years of age, in special risk category.

In-house health and wellness coach and access to fitness center for all members.
